Golf legend Tom Lehman returns to Hualalai Resort to defend his 2019 title at the 2020 Mitsubishi Electric Championship later this week – January 16, 17, and 18. The 54-hole stroke play competition takes place on the award-winning Jack Nicklaus-designed Hualalai Golf Course and follows a two-day Pro-Am event Tuesday, January 14 and Wednesday, January 15. Among the 2020 Championship challengers are previous years’ trophy winners Jerry Kelly, Bernhard Langer, and Miguel Angel Jimenez.

One of the many benefits of home ownership at Hualalai is the opportunity to team up with one of the masters during the Pro-Am while benefiting a good cause; proceeds benefit the Hualalai Ohana Foundation.

Adding to the excitement this year is the debut of the luxury residential resort’s Hualalai Golf Hale – a state-of-the-art golf academy led by Director of Instruction Eddie Lee – which is set to open during the tournament. “This is a one-of-a-kind facility for the Hawaiian Islands with high tech instructional platforms and engaging programs all located under one roof,” he says.
