Art After Dark in Holualoa Town
First Friday on Oahu has become a huge event for Honolulu’s Chinatown art district for quite some time. Today the event draws thousands of music lovers and art enthusiasts from around the island and has become a monthly tradition for Oahu’s community.
After witnessing the successes of Oahu’s First Friday events, small towns such as Holualoa and Honokaa are now following suit. First Friday events are a fabulous way to stimulate economic activity within these quaint communities while providing something fun to do.
You’re Invited to Join the Fun
In Holualoa, more than a dozen or so small business that line the old Mamalahoa Hwy. are now staying open late on the first Friday of every month. Friends and visitors are invited to stroll the historic village while enjoying pupus, live music, and previewing debuts of local artists, such as MField Art.

Enjoy original paintings from local artist William Wingert, jewelry designs by Pat Pearlman, and an assortment of fine ceramics showcased by Dovetail Gallery. Besides great art, grab yourself a cup of locally grown Kona Coffee and enjoy a farm to table meal at Holuakoa Café.
