Music Festival Hits the Big Island This Weekend at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel
For the third year running, the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel will play host to one of the best music events on the island, the 3rd Annual Big Island Jazz and Blues Festival. Jazz and Blues aficionados from around the state migrate to the Big Island for an exciting evening of fun amongst the beautiful backdrop of the world-famous Mauna Kea beach. Three nights of Grammy Winners and Jazz and Blues legends take to the outdoor stage, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who attends. This is a world-class event that I highly recommend attending.

Former lead vocalist for Kool & the Gang and The Dazz Band, Skip Martin is an incredible vocalist, trumpet player, songwriter, and producer not to be missed. If you prefer more of a smooth jazz tone you can relax to, Don Harrison known as the “King of Noveau Swing” will be performing his jazz melodies. The entertainment line up includes several musicians from around the Mainland U.S.
Sunday Jazz Brunch
Brunch at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel is one of my all time favorite venues, which the Jazz Festival carries over into a Sunday Brunch on June 8th. Enjoy jazz, spectacular ocean views, and delicious food at the Manta Restaurant and Wine Pavilion from 11:30 to 2 PM, featuring Blues and Jazz all morning.
